Lock Box: CUBiC mobile's first available product. - Frequently Asked Questions  What is LOCK BOX? LOCK BOX is an application that backs up the phone numbers saved on your cell phone to our servers. If you lose your phone or decide to upgrade to a new model you can wirelessly restore your phone numbers to your new phone. What do I need to use LOCK BOX? You simply need a BREW enabled phone with the LOCK BOX application downloaded. No other computers, internet or wires are necessary. What phones do you support? We aim to provide LOCK BOX on as wide a range of mobile devices as possible. We currently support the following phones (below) and are adding to this list constantly. We expect add new models phones rapidly over the next few months. Where do I get LOCK BOX? Download the application to your phone from your Network Operator, and follow the easy sequence of instructions to set up your PIN protected account.
What if I lose my phone? Get a BREW enabled phone and download LOCK BOX. If you have retained the same number, simply use the PIN number to restore the last saved set of numbers to your new handset What if I have a new phone number? Get a BREW enabled phone and download LOCK BOX. If you have a new phone number follow the options to "restore from another number". Enter your previous phone number and PIN combination and your previous numbers will be restored to your new handset. How do you charge for this service? The LOCK BOX subscription fee, which is set by your wireless company, will appear on your phone bill. Does Lock Box work on all phones? At present only certain BREW enabled phones are supported. Can I save and restore my numbers to other model phones? You can restore your numbers to any BREW enabled phone that supports LOCK BOX. It does not have to be the same model phone. This makes upgrading your phone to a more recent model seamless. How long does a typical backup take? Upload times to initially back up your entire phone book, depend on how many numbers you have stored. An initial backup of 100 phone numbers generally takes less than three minutes. Subsequent backups are only made for new entries or alterations to existing entries and should take less than a minute. How long does a typical restore take? Download times to restore an entire phone book, depend on how many numbers you have stored. An initial restore of 100 phone numbers generally takes less than three minutes. What languages do you support? LOCK BOX 1.2 supports English only (VX 10) . LOCK BOX 2.0 supports English and Spanish. LOCK BOX 3 support English, Spanish and Portuguese. If I unsubscribe what happens to my saved numbers? We keep all your information on our servers for 30 days. If you renew your account within 30 days your data will be intact. After 30 days you will need to create a new account. Can anyone else get access to my numbers? No. Your account is protected by the PIN number you choose. What if can't remember my PIN number? Be sure to remember your PIN number. At present we cannot provide you with a new PIN number. Can I modify my numbers via the internet? Yes, go back to the landing page cubicmobile.com on the left of the screen is a text entry field. Enter your phone number and you will be redirected to our secure website which is where ou enter your PIN number. Can I have more than one account for my phone? Not currently.
